  • Printer hosts NT services and 400 print Queue

Hi all- Our Laser printers are connected IP to NT print server and AS/400 the AS/400 device class = *lan and lan attachment = *IP and device model = 0 Occasionally the print jobs bump into each other and the device gets varied off or the PC print Q gets disconnected. Is there a way to send the 400 jobs to the NT Server or vice versa so the jobs will not crash into each other? How is this situation typically handled? Thanks, Todd

In one of my client locations we set up the HP printer as follows. When the printer is busy a reject message goes back to the AS400, but the printout will be sent when the HP is free. I hope the configuration gives you a few things to try out.
