Help/Systems, LLC, the leading independent provider of automated operations, security, and business intelligence software for IBM Power Systems servers running IBM i, today announced the release of updates to Robot/CONSOLE, its message management solution.
Adding full job information to JOB resource monitor messages, Robot/CONSOLE version 5 makes it possible to hold, release, and end jobs that aren’t in the expected status. This enhancement provides additional information to Robot/CONSOLE’s built-in programming language, OPAL (OPerator Assistance Language), including Current User, Function Name, Function Type, and Actual Job Status for JOB type messages.
Users of IBM WebSphere MQ Managers and WebSphere MQ Queues will be able to monitor those resources in Robot/CONSOLE 5, which also extends monitoring to User Defined Programs. Additionally, Robot/CONSOLE 5 increases monitoring precision with three new expected statuses for JOB type resources: Job Duration, CPU Processing Seconds, and Job Queue Minutes.
Robot/CONSOLE automates IBM i message management, resource monitoring, and system log monitoring. It monitors system console messages and responds to, redirects, or suppresses them automatically. Robot/CONSOLE is also IBM i monitoring software for resources such as subsystems, devices, and queues, as well as critical system logs. Request a free trial at www.helpsystems.com.
