LenovoEMC Limited today announced the worldwide availability of the new LenovoEMC px4-400d Network Storage, a high performance four-bay desktop NAS that delivers advanced data protection plus local and remote content sharing utilizing the simplicity and power of the LenovoEMC LifeLine operating system.

Debuting this week at 2014 International CES tradeshow in Las Vegas, the new LenovoEMC px4-400d utilizes hot swap 7200rpm SATA-III Server Class drives in a compact form factor with up to 16TB in storage capacity (4 x 4TB) and up to 25% higher data read and write performance than the previous generation of product.

 

In Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific, the new LenovoEMC px4-400d is also available in a Pro Series utilizing economical standard HDDs. The diskless version of the new LenovoEMC px4-400d is available worldwide.

 

Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux devices, the new LenovoEMC px4-400d is powered by the award-winning easy-to-use LifeLine operating system, which incorporates standard network storage capabilities as well as many advanced business features that professional users expect, including built-in Cloud technology, versatile remote access, virtualization, data replication, device-to-device copy jobs, advanced RAID support, solid state drive support and more. New hardware features include HDMI, eSATA and USB 3.0 ports for versatility of use.

 

Third-party applications from industry-leading software developers will automatically appear as an icon in the LifeLine OS system management interface when they are released, including EMC® AVAMAR™ backup client, McAfee® VirusScan® Enterprise, ATI Lite from Acronis or the optional (for an added fee) Acronis® Backup & Recovery for LenovoEMC NAS (ABR), as well as Milestone® Arcus™ Video Surveillance, and more.
